I do engraving and jewelry, but I don't use precious metals. I work with titanium.
Titanium is a beautiful metal with a dark silver color. With certain treatments, it can acquire a different color.
One of the most important properties of titanium is hypoallergenicity. Very few people have problems when in contact with titanium. That is why titanium is widely used in prosthetics. In very rare cases, alternatives have to be chosen for prosthetics, such as Niobium, which has properties similar to titanium, but its cost is higher.
